The biggest part of the Sol’Hab house is a steel structure with heat insulation made of cellulose coated with OSB panels. The exterior of the structure comes with 40 mm thick stone wool. There is then an air space of 30 mm in the substructure of the facade until finally comes a final 4 mm thick panel of Albond facade.

The thermal insulation we use is made of old paper, with the addition of mineral preservatives and fire protection, which also prevents the occurrence of insects. Borax is not used and insulation is not harmful to skin and respiratory tract.
The advantages of such cellulose isolation are many. It proved to be a great protection against the cold winter and the heat in the summer. Namely, it even accumulates more than 2.5 times the heat of classical insulation. Moreover, the house is diffusely open and “breathes”, preventing the accumulation of moisture and fungi, which is a common problem with classical constructions.
Cellulose insulation creates a healthy microclimate of the inner space, which is extremely important for the quality of life. When installing cellulose insulation tightly to the substrate, the loss of energy and the emergence of thermal bridges are reduced to a minimum.
In the walls of the Sol’Hab house is a layer of 12 cm of cellulose + 4 cm of stone wool, the floor is insulated with 12 cm of cellulose and the roof with 20 cm of cellulose.
Can the Sol'Hab house be upgraded?
Yes of course. The Sol’Hab house is growing in line with your needs, which is a great advantage of modular construction along with the speed of assembly.

We recommend the house to be insured. We provide our customers with the first one-year insurance policy. The yearly insurance costs depend on the size and place of the Sol’Hab house.
